The author of the popular channel RandomGaminginHD pleased his fans with a new video again, in which he tested the old, but still very common “quad core” Intel Core i5-4460.

When passing the tests, the chip worked at its stock frequency; 8GB of dual-channel DDR3 RAM (1600MHz) and the top-end video card of the previous generation GeForce GTX 1080 Ti worked with it.

Video with gaming tests CPU Core i5-4460:

Results:

Test:Average FPSMinimum FPSMinimum FPS 1%
The Outer Worlds (high graphics settings)97468.8
Red Dead Redemption 2 (ultra graphics settings)585144
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (Highest Graphics Settings)655234
CS:GO (low graphics settings)248
FarCry 5 (high graphics settings)755541
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (medium graphics settings)432.71.5
Fallout 76 (ultra graphics settings)715346
Hitman 2 (high graphics settings)14610282

According to the data obtained, if you do not particularly raise the graphics settings in modern projects, then the Core i5-4460 chip is quite capable of providing its owner with an acceptable frame rate change in the vast majority of the games tested. The only exception is Microsoft Flying Simulator 2020. However, frankly speaking, even owners of top-end processors complain about low performance in this project.
