Apparently, last week the American overclocker Splave had a rather productive bench session. After all, the results of a week ago are still appearing in the HWBot database.

Today the enthusiast has published the result of his experiments with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card in the GPUPI – 1B discipline:

Armed with liquid nitrogen, Splave was able to conquer the GPU frequency of 1894.5MHz. The overclocker was only able to overclock GDDR5 memory up to 7200 MHz. These frequencies allowed the American enthusiast to take the lead in the current video card rank.

14 seconds, 214 milliseconds

The Splave test setup consisted of the following components:

  • Processor – Core i7-7740X overclocked to a frequency of 4,497.8 MHz (this is actually the base CPU mode)
  • Motherboard — ASRock X299 OC Formula
  • Video card — ASUS GTX 980 Ti 6 GB Matrix Platinum (exclusively my assumptions based on Device-ID GPU-z)
  • Power Supply — Enermax MaxTytan 1250W
