Sony confirms PlayStation 5 event for June 11

The PS5 Reveal Event was originally scheduled for June 4, but Sony decided to postpone the unveiling of its new console indefinitely due to ongoing protests in the US.

However, just a few days later, unconfirmed reports surfaced suggesting the PS5 Reveal Event would take place this Thursday, June 11, at 9 PM BST.

Fortunately, these rumors were confirmed yesterday via the official PlayStation Twitter account:

First off, this event is exciting because there's a high probability Sony will finally show off the console itself. PlayStation 5's external design has been a hot topic among fans since last year, and the recent DualSense controller reveal only added fuel to the fire. Even if the new console's design doesn't interest you, don't worry. Rumor has it that several highly anticipated projects will also be unveiled at the show:
