According to preliminary data, NVIDIA should present a line of GeForce RTX 3000 video cards on September 1. And while the fans of the “green” giant froze in anticipation, the network continues to be filled with new rumors about the alleged characteristics of individual video adapters.

For example, today, on the Chinese forum chiphell, a user under the nickname Wjm47196 (who had previously “leaked” authentic information) published a fresh piece of news: The graphics chip of the GeForce RTX 3090 video card will have at its disposal as many as 24GB of video memory of the GDDR6X standard, and the card itself will cost its buyer 1399 dollars for the standard version!
That’s nearly $ 200 more than the current flagship NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti is cost. And this is in addition to the fact that for the version of the GeForce RTX 3090 “Founders Edition” card you will have to pay an additional $100, which brings the price of the graphics adapter to $1499! What can we say about non-reference samples, the cost of which (in the case of a base price of $1399) can easily exceed $2000.

Recall that according to previously leaked information, the GeForce RTX 3090 video card will be equipped with a GA102-300-A1 graphics processor. According to rumors, this GPU has at its disposal 5248 CUDA stream processors. In addition, at the moment there are no details about both the GPU clock speeds and the number of TMUs (texture units) and ROPs (rasterization units).
