Last night, the developers of the PlayStation 3 console emulator RPCS3 posted on their YouTube channel a new short video report about the fixes and improvements in the program.
According to the comment under the video, back in the June version of RPCS3, a developer under the nickname kd-11 fixed a critical crash of the “Out of video memory” program. This fix made the games Heavenly Sword and Resistance: Fall of Man more stable.
In order for one of the first PlayStation 3 exclusives to work on the RPCS3 emulator at 60 fps, you need to right-click on the game icon, select “Create custom configuration”, or, if you have already created “your own settings” before, then select “Change custom configuration”. Then go to the “Advanced settings” tab and move the slider of the “Vblank Frequency” parameter to 120hz.
If your hardware is capable of delivering 60 frames per second (processor Core i7-8700K / Core i9-9900K or Ryzen 5-3600X / Ryzen 7-3800X), then after these manipulations the game Heavenly Sword should function adequately at 60FPS.
