No Man’s Sky will be moving from the OpenGL API to the Vulkan API very soon. This is great news for fans of the game, as Vulkan promises to be a huge performance boost.
The Beyond update will bring other improvements, such as:
- reducing the use of RAM
- HDR support
- optimization of the LOD system (loading several variants of one object with different degrees of detail)
- optimization of the generation of planets and asteroids
