Recently, AMD has often pampered its users with fresh drivers timed to coincide with the release of a particular game. However, the release of a new driver for the game Control, frankly, was at least strange to expect. The project uses technology from a competitor, and AMD itself rarely draws attention to games sponsored by NVIDIA.

Nevertheless, today we have great news for owners of AMD graphics cards. Just a few hours ago, the company released a driver that increased the frame rate in Control up to 10%.

It is not known which specific video cards are affected by the performance gain. It is possible that this only applies to the RX 5700 line. However, when AMD wants to emphasize something like this, it often mentions the series in patch notes. Now there is no specificity, only this quote:

Up to 10% performance improvement in Control running DirectX 11 in Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition version 19.8.2, up from 19.8.1.RS-309

AMD

Support for Man of Medan has also been added.

Among the issues resolved, it is worth noting the fix for audio stuttering in Fortnite and the slow performance of League of Legends when switching between applications.
