
The RPCS3 emulator developers have boosted performance in Killzone 2 and 3, and fixed shader compilation issues in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
The developers of RPCS3, the only working PlayStation 3 emulator, have released a new video showcasing major performance boosts in Killzone 2 and Killzone 3. The update also eliminates constant shader compilation in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which used to ruin the gameplay:

The video also compares the performance of the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X against the Intel Core i9-9900K, with the latter coming out on top.
However, the RPCS3 developers pointed out that the emulator currently can't fully leverage high-end processors like the Ryzen 9 5950X. As a result, the actual performance of AMD's 16-core, 32-thread monster is on par with the simpler, 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X.
