RPCS3 developers have delivered a major performance boost, making titles like MGS4, RDR, Uncharted, and others comfortably playable. The update also adds crucial HDMI/audio support.
The developers of the RPCS3 emulator have reported another significant performance boost for their project. With an upcoming update, the program will be much better at emulating games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 1-2, and the original Red Dead Redemption.
Over the past few months, RPCS3's performance has significantly improved thanks to @kd-11 and Nekotekina's RSX and SPU optimizations. Metal Gear Solid 4, in particular, has seen a substantial performance boost. We also have HDMI and audio support working in VSH/XMB for the first time, thanks to @Vestral! @kd-11 also fixed long-standing graphical issues in RDR and Uncharted 1-2. With these performance gains, we expect quite a few games will now run well enough to achieve 'Playable' status!
