Larian Studios creative director Swen Vincke has posted on his Twitter account some details about the upcoming updates to the popular role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3.
The last hotfix 3 brought more than 200 bug fixes to the project. The next hotfix 4 will most likely contain about the same number of fixes. And then, according to Mr. Vincke, will be followed by the first major patch for 1000+ fixes of existing problems and serious improvements to the gameplay.
After that, Larian Studios will make Baldur’s Gate 3 fans happy with the second major patch, in this update the developers promise to include some of the community’s requests for the game’s balance. Also, judging by the early statements of the esteemed Swen Vincke, this update should include the highly expected possibility to change the character’s appearance during the gameplay.
Unfortunately, the creative director of Larian Studios didn’t share any information about the release date of hotfix 4, or even more so about the release date of the first major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3. However, judging by the release speed of hotfixes 1-3, the 4 micropatch will be available for download in the near future.
With the popularity of Baldur’s Gate 3 growing so fast and the amazingly high peak online presence of 900,000 online users on Steam, it’s no wonder that Larian Studios is working hard to keep fans on board and attract new gamers to Baldur’s Gate 3.
