American overclocker Splave set another amazing record in the y-cruncher – Pi-1b discipline. In this difficult task, the enthusiast was helped by an Intel Core i9-12900K chip overclocked to 6800 MHz.

For the umpteenth time, the American does not change his principles and uses the top ASRock Z690 Aqua OC motherboard as the basis of his test setup, as well as a branded container for liquid nitrogen. In fairness, these components have repeatedly proved their worth in practice, allowing the overclocker to set truly impressive records.

The economical cores of the i9-12900K have been deactivated.

This time was no exception: Splave managed to overclock an 8-core, 16-thread Core i9-12900K processor to 6800MHz and complete the y-cruncher – Pi-1b benchmark with a result of 15sec 301ms, which is an absolute record for chips with an 8-core design!
