The American overclocker under the nickname bigblock990 did not make itself felt for almost two months, but his return became quite loud.

Armed with two rather elderly GeForce GTX 580 video cards overclocked to frequencies of 950MHz / 1,900MHz on the chip and 4800MHz on the memory, as well as the Core i9-9900K processor overclocked to 7100MHz, the American got two quite serious records.

The first achievement is gold in the current rank of two GeForce GTX 580s, but the second is an absolute record among any two video cards in the 3DMark2001 SE discipline.

201441 points – 15th place in the world ranking among any number of video cards and the first among two.

Of course, this is largely due to the overclocked processor, however, such a layout makes the bigblock990 result less impressive.

Of the components that the overclocker used in his test bench, only the motherboard, RAM, and power supply are known: ASRock Z170M OC Formula, G.SKILL Trident Z 2 8GB each, and SuperNOVA G2 1600 watts, respectively.

With the record holders themselves, not everything is clear. Judging by the Device-ID cell of the GPU-z utility, the video cards were from MSI, but the enthusiast did not indicate the exact models.
