And not a day has passed since the last post by CapFrameX, in which the development team shared with the public data on the performance of an unknown AMD video card when the following post appeared on the same Twitter account just a few hours ago:

According to the data provided, the Radeon RX 6800XT video card was able to score 12,800 points in the 3DMark Firestrike Ultra benchmark and thus surpass the flagship product NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, which in turn is gaining 12,400 points. Moreover, as it is already known, the RX 6800XT is not a top-end product, since the Radeon RX 6900XT graphics card should become the flagship of the RX 6000 line, and with regard to its performance, the guys from CapFrameX predict an incredible 14,000 points in the same 3DMark Firestrike Ultra.

If these forecasts are confirmed in practice, then for the first time in almost 10 years, we can expect a situation in which the flagship single-chip NVIDIA product will be slower than the top AMD. However, such a scenario of events is hard to believe, since industrial espionage is quite common among a company of such a high level as AMD and NVIDIA, and since Jesen Huang allowed his marketers to put such a high price tag on the RTX 3090, most likely, data on the performance of the RX 6900XT the head of the “green giant” was not particularly impressed.

But these are all just our guesses and conjectures, as well as grains of rumors. Well, as it turns out, we will find out very soon, because AMD is going to reveal the Radeon RX 6000 series video cards to the world on October 28.
