AMD's flagship Radeon RX 5950 XT and other 5000 series models have been certified. They're expected to outperform NVIDIA's top-tier solutions, but AMD needs to move fast.
Just a few days ago, we reported that an unknown AMD graphics card managed to outperform NVIDIA's top product by 17%. Today, that information has received indirect confirmation. As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire!
The previously unknown AMD Radeon RX 5950 XT graphics card has been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission. Well-known insider KOMACHI_ENSAKA shared this information on their Twitter page:

⤢ ВІДКРИТИOverall, the filing mentions four new members of AMD's 5000-series graphics card lineup: specifically, the Radeon RX 5950 XT (most likely a flagship, possibly a dual-chip solution, though that's unlikely), Radeon RX 5950, Radeon RX 5900, and Radeon RX 5800.
Referring back to our previous report, it appears that AMD's top-tier graphics card could indeed outperform NVIDIA's current high-end RTX 2080 Ti. However, we still lack information on the announcement or release dates for AMD's new products, while NVIDIA has already announced its intention to release the next generation of its graphics cards in the second half of 2020. Therefore, AMD needs to hurry.
Currently, it's unknown whether graphics cards based on the new GPUs will support ray tracing technology, but based on AMD's own plans, it's highly probable that this technology won't be implemented in the 5000-series.
