On the one hand, this is an extremely important victory for the team before The International 2019. It should raise the team spirit to the required level. On the other hand, a similar situation has already happened with another team, and it ended extremely tragically:

In 2016, just before The International, Natus Vincere won the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2 tournament, after which it failed miserably at the main tournament:

Revealing all their heroes (the same Sand King from GeneRaL) and strategies, “Born to Win” could not show a good game and flew out taking 13-16 place.

Of course, looking at the pool of heroes of the modern team Alliance, one cannot say that it is small, however, this is the first The International for them. Nobody canceled the “fear of the big stage”. Let’s hope that experienced Loda will be able to give confidence to his team.

Alliance hasn’t won a tournament since 2016. The last time this happened was with the “golden” line-up of the team (Loda, s4, AdmiralBulldog, Akke, and EGM), with whom it defeated the Ukrainian Na’Vi in the final of the legendary The International 2013.

This year the so-called “el-classico” may well repeat itself and the dream of many fans – the final “Na’Vi – Alliance” will come true.

It remains only to congratulate the Swedish team on their well-deserved victory and wish them good luck at the upcoming The International 2019!
