Often, Chinese experts are among the first to receive new components, and the Ryzen 5 3500X is no exception. The first unboxing and benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X processor were released today by the Chinese media.
The new CPU should be a more profitable alternative to the Intel Core i5 9400F at just under $150.
The AMD Ryzen 5 3500X boasts a base clock of 3600MHz and 4100MHz at maximum auto overclocking. The processor is equipped with 32MB of cache memory, has a TDP of 65W and is priced around $150.
The Chinese colleagues tested the processor on an MSI B450M Mortar Max motherboard with 16 GB of DDR4 memory clocked at 3000 MHz and a GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB graphics card.
On CPU-Z, the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X scored 476.3 points in the single threaded test, while the Core i5-9400F scored 451.4 points. In the multithreaded test, the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X scored 2,774.9 points against Intel’s 2,568.2 points.
Games have been tested at 1080 of resolution.
- In PUBG, the newbie showed an average of about 80 frames per second.
- In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, he averaged 65 frames per second with a minimum of 27 and a maximum of 141.
- In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the Ryzen 5 3500X showed an average frame rate of about 77 frames per second.
- In World War Z, the Ryzen 5 3500X averaged 126 frames per second with 171 maximum and 109 minimum framerates.
- And finally, in Leauge of Legends, the chip showed an average FPS around 180 and a maximum around 222.
The release date of the promising novelty is still unknown.
