STH-Patrick broke an absolute record using two AMD EPYC 7742 server processors in Cinebench R15. The 7nm EPYC "Rome" chips are now appearing on HWBot.
The brand-new 7nm EPYC "Rome" processors, introduced just a few days ago, are already popping up in the HWBot database. Among the first results is an absolute record set by STH-Patrick, an American enthusiast and employee of ServeTheHome.

⤢ ВІДКРИТИAccording to the result page, HWBot can't yet correctly identify the new CPU. However, that hasn't stopped it from taking the top spot in the world rankings.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИBased on the CPU-z validation, the processors were running close to their average clocks of 2800MHz. The EPYC 7742, for reference, has a nominal clock speed of 2250MHz and a maximum boost of 3400MHz.
Other components of the server setup include 512GB of memory: 16 sticks of Micron 32GB DDR4 3200 (part number 36ASF4G72PZ-3G2E2).
This is likely just the beginning, and we can expect a wave of new world records in all multi-threaded benchmarks going forward.
