GSC Game World has dropped the first official teaser trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, along with new details about the platforms the game is coming to.
Almost a year ago, during last year's holiday season, GSC Game World shared the first in-game screenshots of the legendary S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sequel. It seems the developers liked this new tradition. Today, on the eve of 2021, they released the first official teaser trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

The teaser is short, and because the action takes place in semi-darkness, it's hard to make out many details. Still, the visuals look solid, even striking in some scenes. Since this is far from a final build, the graphics should look even better at launch.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is built on the highly popular Unreal Engine 4. Currently, the game is confirmed for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with a PlayStation 5 version arriving about a year later. GSC Game World is drawing a hard line when it comes to last-gen hardware. Given the recent, disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, the studio flatly refused to release the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
There is no exact release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 yet, but the developers previously confirmed it will launch next year.
