Galax has announced the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Classic, a new pair of graphics cards equipped with old-school blower-style coolers.
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards launched earlier this fall with massive TDPs that often exceed 320W. Given how hot these cards run, it's surprising to see so many models featuring blower-style coolers. Gigabyte (Turbo), ASUS (Turbo), and MSI (Aero) have already released their own blower cards.
Now, GALAX is joining the club with two new blower-style offerings: the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Classic.
Visually, the GALAX RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Classic are virtually identical, save for the NVLink bridge found only on the RTX 3090. Both cards use a pure copper heatsink paired with a blower fan. Detailed specs are scarce, but GALAX may have integrated a vapor chamber into the copper block to boost cooling performance.
Both models require dual 8-pin power connectors, with default TDPs set at 350W for the RTX 3090 and 320W for the RTX 3080.
There is no word yet on pricing or availability.
