American overclocker Splave decided to break up the Saturday slump with a series of new records on the sixteen-core Core i9 9960X processor.
Just recently, Splave's countryman, mllrkllr88, had set records on the 9960X, but those didn't even last a week.
Splave's first gold came in the wPrime 1024m discipline:

⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo achieve such high scores, Splave pushed the Core i9 9960X with liquid nitrogen to 6032 MHz for wPrime and 6029 MHz for GPUPI for CPU.
It's genuinely disappointing that enthusiasts posting their results on HWBot often neglect to list the components used in their test bench or provide any photos. This really shouldn't be the case.
Fortunately, some components can at least be discerned from the screenshots.
So, from what's known, the "record-breaking bench" utilized an ASRock X299 OC Formula motherboard and 32 gigabytes of RAM, made up of four 8GB G.Skill modules (F4-4133C19-8GTZKKE). The graphics card, power supply, and storage devices remain unknown...
