The discovered AMD Navi 14 GPU reportedly features 1536 RDNA stream processors clocked at 1900 MHz. The post also mentions 3 GB of video memory, which is quite unusual for AMD. The last time the red team used this amount of VRAM was for the HD 7970 graphics card (and all its derivatives: HD 7950, R9 280, and 280X).
Previous reports suggested Navi 14 could come with 4 GB and 8 GB VRAM configurations. It's entirely possible this chip will power multiple graphics card variants targeting different market segments.
Based on benchmarks of the upcoming solution, we can expect RX 570-level performance:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИOverall, a Navi 14-based graphics card should be more compelling than the aging RX 570 and RX 580, at least in terms of power consumption, noise, and heat. And considering we're looking at a pre-release sample here, the new card's performance could also improve.
