Borderlands 3 system requirements announced

Today, an official post detailing the system requirements for the third installment in the series appeared on the Borderlands website:

Minimum system requirements:

• Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (with latest service packs)

• Processor: AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5-3570

• RAM: 6GB

• Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7970 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB

• Hard drive: 75 GB

Recommended system requirements:

• Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (with latest service packs)

• Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i7-4770

• RAM: 16GB

• Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 590 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

• Hard drive: 75 GB

Looking at the minimum requirements, it's safe to assume that even older processors like the 2500K or FX6300 should run Borderlands 3 comfortably.

However, there isn't the same confidence when it comes to graphics cards. The HD 7970 and GTX 680 will likely hover around unplayable frame rates.

Beyond the system requirements, players will also appreciate the game's quite flexible graphics settings:
