RPCS3 just got new patches that dramatically improve performance in The Last of Us and Uncharted 2-3. There's a catch: graphics quality takes a hit, but developers are working on a fix.
Last night, the RPCS3 emulator developers shared new details regarding the emulation of acclaimed titles like The Last of Us and Uncharted 2-3. According to a recently released video, new patches can nearly double performance in these games. However, the developers themselves admit it's not without compromises: the patches disable various in-game effects and are essentially workarounds, not a magic bullet.

The video above clearly shows performance jumping by up to 100% in some areas. However, graphics quality also noticeably decreases. The good news is that RPCS3 developers are working to improve game emulation speed without needing to disable visual effects.
You can find these patches on the emulator's official wiki via this link: Just scroll down to find the Uncharted 2 and 3 patches. You can copy all the patches you need into a single file named "patch.yml", then simply place this file into your RPCS3 emulator folder.
Keep in mind that the gameplay footage was recorded using the following CPUs:
Aphelion (i7 8700k @ 4.9 GHz) - most TLoU footage Yahfz (i7 8700k @ 5.3 GHz) - first TLoU slum and fire-thrower comparison clip ZeroX (i7 9900k @ 4.9 GHz) - Uncharted 2-3
Consequently, if your CPU is less powerful than those listed above, it's highly likely your framerate will also be lower than what's shown in the video.
