Although the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is still a week away from launch, NVIDIA's board partners are already gearing up with their custom versions of the budget Ampere card. This time, promotional materials and photos of unannounced models from GIGABYTE and GALAX have leaked online.
Let's start with the GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti AORUS Master. One of its standout features is a generous selection of ports: three DisplayPorts and three HDMI ports. This is a massive win for multi-monitor setups, though keep in mind that only two of those HDMI ports are 2.1, while the third is 2.0b.
Another interesting detail about the GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti AORUS Master is its power delivery: it features an 8-pin + 6-pin connector setup. This suggests the card will likely have a higher power limit (TDP) and considerably higher boost clocks compared to the reference design.
Otherwise, the card holds no major surprises. Cooling is handled by a massive aluminum heatsink equipped with GIGABYTE's signature triple-fan setup.
Then there's the likely more affordable GALAX GeForce RTX 3060 Ti EX Gamer, which is also fairly straightforward. It's a typical entry-level option from GALAX/KFA2, featuring a solid component layout and a beefy heatsink cooled by two large fans.
The RTX 3060 Ti EX Gamer relies on a single 8-pin power connector, which points to a more restricted power limit and, consequently, mediocre overclocking potential. Still, this is a budget-friendly option, so you shouldn't expect top-tier performance tuning anyway.
As a reminder, the RTX 3060 Ti will run on a cut-down GA104-200 GPU with 4,864 active CUDA cores — 1,024 fewer than the recently released RTX 3070. Fortunately, NVIDIA kept the same 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus, allowing for a memory bandwidth of 14 Gbps.
