Yesterday a new beta version of the PlayStation 4 firmware was released under the number 7.0 and until now it was believed that the only innovation in it was the addition to the chat functionality. However, today it has been discovered that this is not the only innovation.

With the release of the stable firmware, PlayStation 4 owners with an HDR device will be able to adjust the brightness level of their displays.

This change is extremely important because not all games supported the required options. Obviously, this feature will also affect streaming apps like Netflix as well as your game library.

If you have access to PS4 7.0 Beta firmware, this feature is already available for use with HDR displays. All the rest can only wait for the release of a stable firmware revision.
