Platinum Games has revealed Bayonetta 3 will introduce new mechanics, offer significantly faster gameplay, and be more accessible to newcomers.
In a recent interview with IGN Japan, Platinum Games CEO Atsushi Inaba and Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya shared new details about the third installment of the popular hack-and-slash series. The developers stated that Bayonetta 3 will feature a wealth of new mechanics, none of which have appeared in previous games.
Kamiya also mentioned that the game will be significantly faster and more fun compared to previous entries, but Bayonetta 3 will also integrate a mechanic designed to make the project more enjoyable for players less familiar with action games — likely a "narrative mode" with reduced difficulty.

Inaba and Kamiya responded without hesitation that they would gladly finish the project if Microsoft allowed them to. Thus, Scalebound's fate rests solely on the will of the software giant.
Bayonetta 3 is set to be released this year on Nintendo Switch. Whether the game will ever come to PC remains unclear.
