Hong Kong overclocker lupin_no_musum has set a new world record, pushing DDR5 RAM to an incredible 9560 MHz. The coveted 10,000 MHz mark is now well within reach.
Hong Kong overclocker lupin_no_musum has pushed DDR5 memory to an incredible 9560 MHz, claiming absolute supremacy across all RAM overclocking disciplines. This feat makes him the world record holder, topping both the DDR5 model leaderboard and the global ranking for any RAM standard.
The testbed featured a top-tier ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Apex motherboard and Intel's latest Core i9-12900K processor (though the overclocker only enabled four cores). A single G.Skill 16384 MB F5-6000U4040E16G RAM module, cooled with liquid nitrogen, was then pushed to DDR5-9560. To hit such an impressive clock speed, however, lupin_no_musum had to dramatically loosen the timings to an eye-watering 120-120-120-120-127-2.
It's likely that the previously unattainable 10000 MHz barrier will fall to one of the top enthusiasts in just a few weeks. Follow our social media channels to catch all future world overclocking records!
