Square Enix has finally revealed the PC system requirements for Marvel’s Avengers. Both the minimum and recommended hardware configurations look quite reasonable. To jump into the superhero action, you'll need a CPU like a Core i3-4160 (or an FX-4300-6300 — our guess, as Square Enix only specifies a vague "AMD equivalent"), a GPU no worse than a GeForce GTX 950 or Radeon R9 270 with 2GB of VRAM, and 8GB of RAM. On top of that, the game will take up 75GB on your hard drive in its most modest configuration.
The recommended system requirements are also perfectly acceptable (Core i7-4770K or Ryzen 5-1600, GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 480, along with 16GB of RAM), with one rather interesting caveat: the game demands 110GB of free space specifically on an SSD. While you can still install the game on a traditional HDD, the developer warns that they can't guarantee stable and, more importantly, smooth performance at maximum graphics settings if you do.
Minimum system requirements:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
CPU: Core i3-4160 or AMD equivalent (most likely FX-4300-6300 or Athlon 200GE — editor's note)
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 / AMD Radeon R9 270 (2GB VRAM minimum)
DirectX 12
75GB HDD space
Recommended system requirements:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K, 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5-1600, 3.2 GHz16GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 8GBDirectX 12110GB SSD space
It's safe to say that from autumn 2020 onwards, most upcoming game projects will likely feature similar system requirements, as next-gen consoles come equipped with fast SSDs, and the vast majority of game developers will try to leverage this advantage as often as possible.
