Horizon Zero Dawn PC patch 1.02 fixes crashes

Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games has finally released a long-awaited patch addressing the game's frustrating desktop crashes. Patch 1.02 also aims to resolve several other outstanding issues and slightly improve Horizon Zero Dawn's overall performance:

• Fixed an issue where some players couldn't disable V-Sync in borderless fullscreen mode;

• Addressed an error causing facial animation desynchronization for some players when the framerate was locked at 30 frames per second;

• Reduced memory usage during shader streaming;

• Improved autosave performance (e.g., when completing a quest step);

However, this patch doesn't resolve all current in-game issues. Guerrilla Games plans to release several more updates in the near future to address the remaining flaws in the acclaimed project.
