Guerrilla Games is actively working on a patch for Horizon Zero Dawn's PC version, investigating crashes and bugs while collecting player feedback.
Guerrilla Games, the developer behind the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn, announced it's actively investigating the cause of the game's frequent crashes. The studio also stated it "sees, reads, and takes note" of all reports regarding Horizon Zero Dawn's glitches and errors.
«We appreciate everyone who's taken the time to report their Horizon Zero Dawn issues on Steam, Reddit, or via our website. If you're still experiencing crashes or errors, please keep those reports coming. And if you're unsure what to do next, check out our FAQ. Your bug reports are incredibly useful for our team as we work to resolve these problems.»
In our view, Horizon Zero Dawn's unstable performance could stem from the sheer number of technologies the game employs (FidelityFX, TressFX, and Asynchronous Compute). Guerrilla Games attempted to implement these in their project but seemingly couldn't fully optimize them. However, take this with a grain of salt – it's just speculation.
