Early April marked an historic event: the GeForce GTX 1060 officially ceased to be the world's most popular graphics card, ceding its leadership to its successor, the GeForce RTX 3060.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИValve published its March Steam hardware survey statistics, revealing that the RTX 3060 had grown its presence in PC gamers' rigs to 10%.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThis event will directly impact the immediate future of the gaming industry. For the first time, a ray-tracing-capable graphics card has become the most popular in a gaming store of Steam's scale. Consequently, developers will have to pay increasing attention to this new technology. As a result, gamers with still-relevant cards (like the GTX 1080 Ti and similar) but without ray tracing support will have no choice but to upgrade to an RT-enabled GPU.
