The Core i9-9900KS chip was released quite recently, but overclockers are already exploring its overclocking potential with might and main.

The Czech enthusiast Elkim got his hands on a relatively good sample of Intel’s flagship processor and set several records on it.

3047 points in Cinebench – R15 with a chip frequency of 6826MHz:

In HWBOT x265 Benchmark – 4k 24.025 frames per second were obtained at a processor frequency of 6766MHz:

The highest frequency 6930.3MHz was obtained in the GPUPI for CPU benchmark – 1B, and the result is 1 minute, 48 seconds and 965 milliseconds:

Why did I describe the chip as relatively good? The thing is that the best samples of the same Core i9-9900KF are quite capable of conquering more than 7000 MHz, and given the novelty of the Core i9-9900KS, we can expect results above 7300 MHz.

Of the components that Elkim used for his achievements, only the ASUS ROG Maximus XI Apex motherboard and the Seasonic PRIME model with a power of 1200 watts is known.
