Xiaomi has released the Android 10 kernel source codes for the Mi A3 and Mi A2. The official update is coming soon, though exact dates are still unannounced.
The Xiaomi Mi A3, one of last year's most popular and value-driven smartphones, launched with Android 9 and still hasn't received its highly anticipated Android 10 update. This is particularly frustrating as, given the Android One initiative, the phone should have received it back in November.
Xiaomi itself had promised the Mi A3 would receive its Android 10 update in Q1 2020. It seems the company wasn't bluffing.
Today, Xiaomi officially uploaded the Android 10 kernel source codes for both the Mi A2 (from two years ago) and last year's Mi A3.

While there are still no exact release dates for Android 10 on the Mi A2 and Mi A3, given this information, the wait shouldn't be much longer.
But if you're impatient to try out the new OS, nothing stops you from heading to the relevant threads on enthusiast forums and installing unofficial Android 10-based ROMs.
For example, check out the discussion thread for the Mi A3 on 4PDA and pick your preferred custom ROM. Just remember: installing any unofficial firmware can void your device's warranty. Proceed with caution.
