Pricing for the unreleased 32-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X has leaked, showing a $1200 price tag. The junior 3960X model will cost $999. Release is expected in November 2019.
Just yesterday, we reported that you could buy a binned Intel Core i9-9900KS for $1199. For that money, you get a chip capable of stable operation at 5200 MHz across all eight cores. And now, rumors about the price of AMD's 32-core, 64-thread Ryzen Threadripper 3970X have surfaced today.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe Vietnamese retailer tinhocdaiviet has listed the unreleased CPU at 30,000,000₫ (Vietnamese Dong), which is roughly equivalent to $1200 USD. The junior 24-core, 56-thread Threadripper 3960X will be slightly cheaper at $999.

⤢ ВІДКРИТИIf the leaked information is accurate, we're likely to see even more powerful processors. The 32-core chip's price indirectly hints at this. AMD would then need to introduce a CPU closer to the $2000 mark. This could very well be the 64-core 3990X that previously appeared in leaks.
However, it's more probable that AMD will limit its current high-end platform to 48 cores and 96 threads. Time will tell.
The new CPUs are expected to feature an updated sTRX4 socket and new TRX40, TRX80, and WRX80 chipsets.
The processors are slated for release in the second half of November 2019, so expect more leaks to emerge daily.
