
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X and 3960X price leaks debunked. New, higher prices announced: $1907 and $1340. CPUs shipping by late November 2019.
Unfortunately, yesterday's price leaks for the unreleased AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X and 3960X CPUs have been debunked. According to a reliable source at WccfTech, the recent prices were significantly underestimated and completely inaccurate.
After price adjustments, the Ryzen Threadripper 3970X is now priced at $1907, previously rumored at $1200. Its younger sibling, the 24-core, 56-thread Threadripper 3960X, will cost $1340.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИWhile these prices are more realistic than yesterday's, something still feels off. If the current top-tier chip costs just under $2000, then the unannounced Ryzen Threadripper 3980X and 3990X could easily surpass $3000.

We don't know the chips' base clock speeds yet, but according to leaks, both processors can automatically boost up to 4500 MHz. Both CPUs also feature identical 128 MB of L3 cache and a similar 280-watt TDP.
Both CPUs are expected to hit retail by the end of November 2019.
