Sapphire finally presented its Navi-based Radeon RX 5700 XT PULSE. It's odd that AMD's long-standing partner waited so long, especially since the card resembles older models.
Oddly enough, AMD's long-standing, arguably primary partner is one of the last to unveil its own Navi-based design. Sapphire took a surprisingly long time to announce its new graphics cards, and it seemed they had something new in store—something radically different from previous designs. However, the first card they presented turned out to be the Radeon RX 5700 XT PULSE:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThis is somewhat perplexing, as what we essentially have here is a Frankenstein's monster of the Radeon RX Vega 56 PULSE and RX580 PULSE.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe problem isn't with borrowing from themselves, but rather the timing of the announcement for what is essentially a long-ready product.

⤢ ВІДКРИТИAll the signature features of the PULSE series are present here. I'd like to highlight the improved backplate: it now has more cutouts, and their placement is far more logical. Our thanks to the manufacturer for that. It's still unclear how much the PCB will differ. It's quite possible that's where the main changes lie, allowing for higher clock speeds (which are also currently unknown).
But we'll only find this out after sales begin for these new graphics cards. Just a reminder: they're expected to hit store shelves on August 13.
Let's hope these aren't all the announcements, and Sapphire has something more exciting in store than a mere refresh of the old PULSE and NITRO lineups.
