AMD's new Ryzen 3000 XT ("Matisse Refresh") chips are only about 5% faster than the "X" series they replace, launching at the same price point but without bundled coolers.
According to well-known and reliable insider APISAK, the "Matisse Refresh" processors — the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT, and Ryzen 5 3600XT — will only offer about a 5% performance boost compared to their Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 7 3800X, and Ryzen 5 3600X counterparts.

The Thai enthusiast found test results for the three new "XT" series CPUs in the Geekbench database:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe Ryzen 5 3600XT scored 7914 points in multi-threaded performance. The standard Ryzen 5 3600X typically scores around 7500-7600 in the same benchmark, indicating a 5% performance bump for the XT model, which also comes with a 100 MHz higher turbo clock.
The Ryzen 7 3800XT scored 9795 points, roughly 7% more than the Ryzen 7 3800X. Similarly, the Ryzen 9 3900XT proved 5% faster than the Ryzen 9 3900X.
These results aren't exactly groundbreaking. However, it's crucial to remember that the new "XT" series chips essentially replace their "X" series predecessors. This means buyers get a "free" 5% performance increase for the same price. Not bad at all.
The only minor drawback is that AMD decided not to bundle stock coolers with the "Matisse Refresh" chips.
