Recent rumors peg the yet-to-be-released Ryzen 9 3950X for a September 30 launch. At least, that's what Germany-based retailer Digitec is trying to convince us of:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИDigitec reports the flagship chip will feature 16 cores, 32 threads, and a 3500 MHz frequency. It's currently unclear if this is the base clock or the maximum boost frequency the store listed.
Additionally, Digitec listed the new Ryzen 9 3950X for €999, which converts to roughly $1102. That's "a bit" higher than AMD's recommended MSRP of $749. However, this is likely just a placeholder or an attempt to capitalize on early demand for a highly anticipated product.
Don't take this as the final retail price. It's worth recalling, however, that the Ryzen 9 3900X, for instance, was a scarce commodity for quite some time, often selling for "crazy money" (over $600). So it's entirely possible the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X could also see inflated pricing initially due to limited CPU stock.
