⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo achieve the record, the processor was overclocked to 5511 MHz using liquid nitrogen. The Xeon W-3175X was paired with an ASUS ROG DOMINUS EXTREME motherboard based on the C621 chipset, 12 sticks of 8 GB DDR4 RAM for a total of 96 GB, and an unknown "dummy" graphics card.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИOther components of the record-breaking test bench weren't specified, but photos suggest the presence of at least three power supply units. This isn't surprising, given that the overclocked 28-core monster's power consumption can exceed 600 watts.
The previous record, for context, was set 47 days ago by Korean enthusiast safedisk.
