RPCS3 developers have successfully overcome the 30 fps barrier in NieR series games. Both titles can now run smoothly at 60 frames per second.
Yesterday, gameplay footage of NieR Replicant and Gestalt was posted on the official RPCS3 PlayStation 3 emulator channel. Thanks to the developers' efforts, both games have successfully surpassed the 30 frames per second limit and can now be displayed smoothly at 60 frames per second:

Thanks to Whatcookie, a patch for NieR Replicant and Gestalt has been created, allowing you to run the game at 60 frames per second for the first time, beyond the in-game 30 fps limit. You can even exceed 60 fps, but the game speed will start to drop. To do this, follow the instructions on our GitHub page; you can ignore the PPU hash instructions as they are already included in the NieR patch. Remember that NieR requires Write Color Buffers to be enabled and an FPS limit in RPCS3 settings. Use a 30fps limit if you're not using the patch, and a 60fps limit if you are. The gameplay was recorded on the following configurations:
Asinine (R7 1700 @3.9GHz) - NieR Replicant
Illusion (R5 1600) - Nier Gestalt
