Rockstar has announced RDR 2 for PC. It launches November 5, with a month of exclusivity on the Rockstar Launcher, then comes to Steam in December. Pre-order bonuses are available.
After several credible leaks, Rockstar Games finally announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC. Frankly, this isn't surprising at all, especially given the massive financial success of GTA Online.
Despite that, there were still plenty of skeptics.
Unfortunately, for now, it's a 'paper announcement,' as we haven't seen any trailers or PC gameplay footage yet.
However, Rockstar has created a store page and states that PC players can expect various graphical and technical enhancements:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИAnd here's the funniest part of this whole situation. When Rockstar first announced its launcher, we said a company of this caliber wouldn't launch something like that without a significant reason. Well, that reason just appeared on the horizon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be exclusive to Rockstar's own store for a full month before its release on the familiar Steam platform.
Honestly, there's nothing terrible about this, especially considering the pre-order bonuses.
If you pre-purchase the game via the Rockstar Launcher by October 22, you can choose and receive two of the following six games as bonus gifts:
Grand Theft Auto III
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Bully: Scholarship Edition
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition
Impressive, right?
But that's not all. Pre-ordering also gets you these additional bonuses:
Outlaw survival kit for story mode
War horse for story mode
Treasure map for story mode
Cash bonus for story mode
50 gold bars for Red Dead Online
Rockstar promises to provide more information about the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, including system requirements, details on new features, and first screenshots. However, this will only happen when pre-orders open on October 9.
The game itself will be released on November 5 this year.
