See the naked 7nm die of the new Ryzen 5 3600 CPU! Dive into its Zen 2 architecture and the 12nm cIOD, revealing key controllers.
On the account of Fritzchens Fritz on the website flickr.com, photos of a delidded Ryzen 5 3600 processor appeared. The lid was first removed from the processor, and then two dies were disassembled:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe first of them is a 7-nanometer die containing two quad-core CCX modules belonging to the brand new Zen 2 architecture.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe second die, shown above, is already built using a 12-nanometer manufacturing process. It combines a DDR4 memory controller, a PCI-e 4.0 controller, and the Infinity Fabric bus.
