Larian Studios is preparing significant updates for Baldur's Gate 3, including hotfixes, bug patches, and appearance changes. Release dates remain unknown.
Larian Studios' creative director, Swen Vincke, has shared some details on Twitter about upcoming updates for the hit RPG, Baldur's Gate 3.
Hotfix 3, the latest update, already brought over 200 bug fixes to the game. Hotfix 4 will likely feature a similar number of improvements. However, according to Vincke, a much larger patch is coming next, packed with over 1,000 fixes for existing issues and significant gameplay refinements.

Following that, Larian Studios plans to release a second major patch for Baldur's Gate 3. Developers promise this update will incorporate community feedback on game balance. Furthermore, based on Vincke's earlier comments, players can expect the highly anticipated character appearance editor to be part of this update.
Unfortunately, Larian Studios' creative director didn't provide any information on the release timeframe for Hotfix 4, let alone a date for the first major Baldur's Gate 3 patch. However, given how quickly Hotfixes 1-3 rolled out, the fourth micropatch should be available for download very soon.
Considering the game's rapidly growing popularity and its stunning peak concurrent player count of 900,000 on Steam, it's no surprise Larian Studios is working hard. Their goal is to retain current fans and attract even more new players to Baldur's Gate 3.
