At just two minutes, the trailer isn't incredibly informative on its own. However, by combining Kojima's previous comments about the character with the trailer and its accompanying synopsis, we can at least start to understand how Hartman fits into the story.
The trailer reveals Hartman suffers from a rare condition: his heart stops every twenty-one minutes. He then experiences three minutes of clinical death, during which he tries to find his deceased family members 'on the other side.' An automatic defibrillator eventually restarts his heart, and the cycle repeats.
