AMD has released a new Adrenalin 19.8.2 driver, boosting frame rates in Control by up to 10% and adding support for Man of Medan.
Lately, AMD has been consistently rolling out drivers for new game releases. That said, a driver specifically for Control was quite surprising. The game utilizes a competitor's technology, and AMD rarely focuses on NVIDIA-sponsored titles.
Despite that, today we have great news for AMD graphics card owners. Just a few hours ago, the company released a driver that boosts frame rates in Control by up to 10%.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИIt's unclear which specific graphics cards will see this performance increase. It's entirely possible it only applies to the RX 5700 series. However, when AMD wants to highlight such specifics, they usually mention the series in the patch notes. Right now, there's no such detail, only this quote:
Up to 10% performance increase in Control running DirectX 11 with Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.8.2, compared to 19.8.1.RS-309
Support for Man of Medan has also been added.
Among the resolved issues, fixes include audio stuttering in Fortnite and slow performance in League of Legends when switching between applications.
