A fan mod, "Dark Souls 2 Depths of Darkness," overhauls the game to match the visual style and aesthetic of the original Dark Souls.
The original Dark Souls 2 launched in 2014. Development began during the previous console generation, and those older machines simply couldn't handle the graphics available on PS4 and Xbox One. As a result, the game wasn't significantly better looking than its predecessor.

This situation still bothers fans of the second "Dark Souls" installment. Enthusiasts often delight gamers with various mods that improve either the graphics or the gameplay.
Today, we're highlighting the Dark Souls 2 Depths of Darkness texture pack. This mod includes nearly 6,000 modified textures that recreate the aesthetic of the first Dark Souls.

However, you should be extremely cautious here, as not all fans of the first game look favorably upon the second. Similarly, devotees of Dark Souls 2 might not feel entirely positive about the original Dark Souls.
Understand that this modification lets you re-experience the emotions of the second game, but wrapped in the aesthetic of the first.
