MSI teased blurred photos of a new EVOKE graphics card back at ChinaJoy 2019. Now, clear images have emerged online, suggesting EVOKE will be an entirely new series of GPUs.
Back at ChinaJoy 2019, MSI teased us with blurry photos of a new custom-designed graphics card called EVOKE:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИAt the time, we couldn't get any further details. But recently, new photos of the same graphics card surfaced, and it looks like EVOKE will be an entirely new series of GPUs from MSI.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИCurrently, it's unclear whether this design will be exclusive to the AMD Radeon RX 5700 series, or if MSI will also release NVIDIA graphics cards based on it.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe new card features a beige shroud, an unusual color for MSI products. The manufacturer decided to include air vents on its sides.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThese are also present on the end.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe card's backplate appears to be a solid design, which is good for protecting the PCB from mechanical damage and liquids, but it's a questionable choice for cooling.
As for power, the card will feature an 8+6-pin connector. For display output, it includes three DisplayPort and one HDMI connector.
The new card's clock speeds are currently unknown, but judging by the robust cooling system, we can assume they'll be higher than AMD's reference designs.
The MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT EVOKE is expected to launch on August 14th.
