
Microsoft has canceled its Hong Kong event because of the coronavirus epidemic. Other companies are taking similar precautions, withdrawing from exhibitions and conferences.
Earlier in February, Microsoft canceled several events in Singapore, Shanghai, and Taipei. Today, the Redmond giant announced it's also canceling "Microsoft Ignite The Tour" in Hong Kong.

The company stated, and I quote:
The health and safety of our employees, customers, partners, and suppliers are our top priority.
It's highly likely that many other Microsoft Ignite events will be canceled soon, as global health organizations continue to battle the potential coronavirus pandemic.
Microsoft isn't the only company taking such steps. For instance, Kojima Productions has announced it won't attend GDC 2020, while CD Projekt Red, Capcom, and Square Enix are skipping PAX East.
