
AMD CEO Lisa Su confirms Ryzen 4000 Vermeer (Zen 3) CPUs are on track for a 2020 launch, touting up to 20% IPC gains and higher clock speeds.
Yesterday, AMD released a new video on its YouTube channel, commemorating the anniversary of Ryzen 3000 chips and the launch of Ryzen 3000XT processors. In it, AMD CEO Lisa Su discussed the red team's plans for the Zen 3 architecture:

According to Su, rumors circulating about a potential delay of Ryzen 4000 Vermeer chips until 2021 are exactly that—just rumors, completely unfounded. As previously planned, Zen 3-based processors will launch by the end of 2020.
Currently available information suggests the new Ryzen 4000 Vermeer processors will deliver an IPC increase of up to 20%, alongside higher clock speeds compared to existing Ryzen 3000 chips. These CPUs are expected to be manufactured using an improved 7-nanometer process.
