Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is free on Epic Games Store

From August 24 to 31, the Epic Games Store is giving away Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, the iconic RTS (real-time strategy), for free. The game features both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode, complete with a ranking system and matchmaking.

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak serves as a prequel to the earlier games in the series. In Blackbird Interactive's creation, you'll discover the history of the desert planet Kharak and follow the character Rachel S'jet as she leads her people toward their destiny in a gripping campaign.

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak features an extensive arsenal of ground and air vehicles, ranging from nimble light combat machines to massive heavy cruisers, all designed to conquer the desert.
